In the world of Cosmos, there exist those who wish to confound their wisdom unto people who seek their counsel. These beings come in the form of wizards, users of magic and mystical arts that utilize their abilities to assist the folk of this world. Throughout their realm, wizards can, and do, specialize in a plethora of different categories, each having its own unique traits and backstories.

These wizards have one ultimate goal: to bring joy and wisdom to the people of Cosmos. Joy in the form of amusement and entertainment, wisdom in the form of fortunetelling and token support. They are capable of bringing together the power of the elements to help those in need of council.

Within Cosmos, one might stumble across an unknown planet with an old stone tower, an ancient relic of the past, hidden in a magical forest. If one were to find this tower, they would be given the opportunity to become a wizard themselves. Here, in the Wizard’s Tower, they will train their magical abilities. The tower has many magical secrets, and is home too many impressive chambers. The Grand Hall acts as an introduction to the tower, off to the side being able to find the courtyard, where training is done, and the dining hall, along with the kitchen. Upstairs, you will find various teaching rooms, along with the living quarters. There is also a larger practice arena located in the back of the tower.

Starting off, wizards-in-training begin their journey in the magical arts as an apprentice. As they progress to a certain level of expertise, they are promoted to a Novice, where they can harness the power of the elements. Next, comes the Adept level, where wizards will continue building on their skills, honing in on a specialization. These specializations include the arts of: Chaos, Divine, Necromancy or Arcane magic. At long last, if a wizard is able to climb the ranks and perfect their speciality, they become a Grand Master Wizard themselves.

The elements of this planet include: Fire, Earth, Water and Air, each with its own unique landscape associated with that element. The Scorched Earths is a large, hilly region that is surrounded by multiple volcanoes. The land is ashy and streaks of magma are striked through the ground. Few people live here, but those who do enjoy the heat that the hot springs and lava produce. The folks on the coast are associated with Water, and love the sea. The Earthscape is a section of land, the largest of all four, that is mountainous and very rocky. Lastly, the Airlands are a group of islands that are useful for training with Air, something that few are able to master fully. Each elemental land lends itself to the magic within the planet, along with harnessing that power to assist the wizards in their abilities surrounding the elements of the planet.

Beyond the physical forms of this planet, there exists powers that cannot be touched or seen. Only Adept Class wizards and Grand Masters are able to hone in on these hidden types of powers. These powers are referred to as “The Lost Magics” There are 4 main types of magics:

  1. Chaos magic includes dark matter, a special type of magical essence, to power their abilities.
  2. Divine magic uses the power of light to charge magical abilities, allowing users to defeat enemies with ease. These wizards have access to the Heavens, a special realm connected to the planet by a magical bridge that only some have access to.
  3. Necromancy deals with the undead, and wizards of this specialty utilize the underworld as their power source.
  4. Arcanists are able to summon magic with their bare hands, without an artifact, and have the strongest connection to magic itself.

There exist more types of magics some physical, artificial and even illusional, but only a small amount wizards are able to harness these magics and use them as their main source of power.

The wizards, as a whole, are always open to share their wisdom, and are more than happy to display their abilities, whether for entertainment or protective purposes. Their vast knowledge of the cosmos allows them insight into the secrets it holds and have vowed to use magic for good, as they continue their journey towards a realm of endless magical opportunities.
